The neo-Gothic church of Our Lady of the Assisted Living (known as the 'upper' church) is an important element of Twardogóra's urban composition, located in the centre of the so-called Upper Square - currently Piast Square. Nearby are buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The temple was built in 1874 - 1875 of raw facing brick with stone elements on the existing old foundations. The church was originally an Evangelical church. After the Second World War it was turned into a Roman Catholic church. The interior of the church was extensively renovated in 1989. Copper sheet metal roof, gabled over the nave and transept arms, pulpit over the side annexes. The spire helmet on the tower is octagonal and covered with copper sheet. The church is currently developed and used for religious worship. The Marian sanctuary with the miraculous statue of Our Lady and Child is a place of numerous pilgrimages.
