The church was built in the first half of the 14th century and rebuilt in the 18th century, when the presbytery vault was changed to a cross vault, the windows and buttresses were rebuilt, and two pointed portals were built on the west and north sides, with a rich but somewhat folkloric decoration. A Rococo pulpit was erected. Parts of the tower (lower part) made of brick and stone blocks from the 14th century have been preserved to this day. The interior features a Baroque altarpiece from the early 18th century with a painting of St. Anne, the patron saint of the church by F.A.Scheffler from 1740, and a Renaissance baptistery from the early 17th century. The parish church of St. Anne in Szewce is entered in the register of monuments under no. 1209 by a decision of 15 December 1964.
