The church (now Our Lady of the Scapular) was first mentioned at the beginning of the 14th century. After 1538, the church was taken over by Protestants. The church bell, dating from 1611, is the only preserved part of the church from that time. The coats of arms on it show that it was made from the foundation of Duke Charles II and his wife, and a member of the von Heugel family.
