The first mention of the existence of a church in Bagno dates from 1353. A slightly later testimony comes from 1397, when the Bagno church is mentioned in the context of a sales contract. In 1598, the church was Lutheran, and from 1654 it was Catholic again.
We further learn that the church burned down in 1759. Soon afterwards, a new church was built of wood, clay and stones. The technical condition of the church lasted until 1900, forcing the village owner Georg Kissling and the parish priest Robert Hauke to build a new church.
The church was built in the years 1906-1907 in Neo-Romanesque style, on a rectangular plan, with a single nave and a tower. Some of the historic furnishings were transferred to the new church: the side altar, paintings from the 17th century - including the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
After 1945 The church was repaired several times: the electrical system was replaced, the roof was covered with sheet metal, the tower was renovated, and the organ was repaired.
There is an unused cemetery around the church, including the tomb of the Salvatorians. The modern parish cemetery is located on the road leading to the village of Górowo.
