The building of the current chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Poland was built in 1872. Until 1933, there was a Catholic chapel of St Joseph here. Sources state that in 1845 there were 205 Catholics out of 483 inhabitants in the village. At that time, the village had a Catholic school in addition to an Evangelical school.
