The route starts in Wołów, near the railway station. It can be conveniently reached by car or train. From the station, get to Zielony Zaułek Street, where an approx. 12 km long section of the cycling route along the former railway line starts, leading through Mojęcice (look out for a beautiful palace with a park - now a hotel and restaurant full of historical memorabilia), straight to Lubiąż (Europe's largest post-Cistercian complex). The route continues along the knee of the Oder River, skirting the Rościsławice Upland, mainly through riverside riparian forests. The only hill is the one with St. Valentine's Church in Lubiąż. In Lubiąż, an obligatory stop at Europe's largest post-Cistercian complex with an amazing view of the Odra River. The trail follows mainly forest and gravel roads. From Lubiąż we go to Domaszków (here we recommend the Zuzia apiary with its beekeeping educational trail and Zacisze bar), then to Dębno (where it is worth making a stop at the Dębno Goat Cheese and "Inglotówka" agritourism farm) and further to Tarchalice, where there are medieval iron ore smelting sites, the so-called smoke houses. From Tarchalice, the route turns east towards the village of Wrzosy and then leads to Wołów (railway station).

WHAT TO SEE ON THE ROUTE:

Mojęcice Palace - a beautifully restored palace full of historical relics, which now houses an exclusive hotel and a recommendable restaurant. The palace is surrounded by a well-kept park. The late Renaissance residence served as a manorial defensive palace and belonged, among others, to the von Stosch family, then to the von Kottwitz family, and from 1780 to 1945 to the von Köckritz family. Mojęcice itself is a very old village. As early as 1202 it appears in a document of the monastery in Lubiąż as 'Mojanczicz'. It was listed among the villages that had to pay tribute to the monastery, although it was always private - knightly property. After the war, the State Agricultural Farm (PGR) had its headquarters in Mojęcice and the palace.

The Cistercian Abbey in Lubiąż - one of the largest monuments of its class in Europe, being at the same time the largest Cistercian abbey in the world. The abbey has been called a masterpiece of Silesian Baroque.  The monastic complex is the second largest in the world (the first being the palace and monastery complex of Escurial in Spain). The roof area covers about 2.5 hectares and the length of the façade is 223 metres, making it the longest Baroque façade in Europe. The building has more than 600 windows. In the 1980s, the monastery became the site of a search for huge treasures. The special services of the People's Republic of Poland tried three times to find the famous gold of Wrocław here, i.e. the deposits of the safes of Festung Breslau. Hence, many legends arose around the monastery.

Odrzyska reserve - established in 1987 on an area of about 5 ha. It encompasses the oxbow lakes of the Oder River, protects rich stands of anchovy - water nut and the floating water fern salvinia. There are about 40 species of breeding birds in the reserve.

Gliniany - the village is known for archaeological excavations; in 1970 a cemetery of the Lusatian culture from the Bronze Age (1100-700 BC) was discovered here; the graves were equipped with ceramic vessels and metal products. The so-called Idol of Clay was found - a clay male figure with a large head, associated with solar and phallic worship.

Domaszków - a beekeeping educational trail in the Zuzia Apiary established in 2006. Zuzia apiary. Possibility of purchasing honey (Domaszków 27, tel. 697 074 797), Zacisze Bar (a favourite destination for cyclists - tel. 889 416 914).

Dębno - there's a family-run cheese factory producing sheep's and goat's cheese (Dębno, tel. 794 020 117) and the cosy stable & agritourism "Inglotówka" (tel. 502 785 155; possibility of organising family celebrations and meetings).

Tarchalice - a site of ancient iron smelting furnaces (smokestacks) in the form of dozens of shafts (discovered in 1903).

Strict nature reserve "Uroczysko Wrzosy" (Wrzosy Wilderness) - is one of the largest nature reserves in the province, encompassing almost virgin riparian, alder and oak-hornbeam forests in the heart of the "Jezierzyca Valley" landscape park. The area is an important refuge for animals, plants and fungi, the most valuable of which are the marsh marigold, blood cuckoo, marsh pea, royal fern and marsh orchid.

Wołów - one of the oldest towns in Silesia (c. 12th century). Worth seeing are the remaining fragments of medieval defensive walls from the 14th-15th centuries, together with the monument to the "Wołów bulls", the Piast Castle from the first half of the 14th century, market buildings with the restored town hall, and the M. Hermaszewski aeroplane.
