It is a post-evangelical church in neo-Gothic style. It was built in 1728 on the site of the previous one, which had burnt down in a great fire two years earlier. The founder was the then owner of the village, Baron Moritz von Teichmann. When its foundations were being laid, a crypt with the coffins of the last Maltzans from Cieszko was discovered. It is a brick and plastered building.

It is a rectangular hall church, with wooden galleries, a flat ceiling, three bells on the tower and a clock. The church was restored in 1960-63 and the interior was renovated in 1973.

Most Masses are now held there.

Adjacent to this church are the buildings that once housed the parish school and the parish house.
