Today's St. Adalbert's Church was Strupina's branch church when it was built. It also had a burial chapel from 1586. It was rebuilt in 1701 and became an independent parish in 1720.
Historical sources state that in 1835 the village had a population of 252 inhabitants, of whom 243 were Evangelicals and only 9 professed Catholicism. The mother church for the Evangelical population is the church in Strupin. There is a branch church with a funeral chapel in the village, where two clergymen from Strupina hold services every 14 days.
In the past, the superintendent of the Warzęg church was Hans von Motschelnitz, a church superior from Strupina, who ordered his heirs to bury themselves in a tomb that had been built. For this burial and for the holding of services, he drew up a corresponding agreement with the then pastor from Strupina, Leschke, dated 21 August 1586.
The present-day church was built in 1862. It was detached from Strupina in 1894.

It hides many secrets, such as rumours of a tunnel connecting the church with the church in Strupin. About the undiscovered basement of the church, to which the locals are able to point out the entrance. Next to the church is a post-German cemetery. Today, grass and trees grow here, among which are graves that have been tended to for several years by pupils from the school in Warzęgowo. The parsonage, now a private house, used to belong to the church. (...)
