Interesting places

The building is one of the points on the Karłów - Wałkowa -Karłów nature-forestry path, which is adapted for the disabled. The Tree House used to be the cone hulling plant of the Milicz Forest District. 

The general renovation of the Hulling Plant began in August 2014. Despite the modernisation, the building has retained its original character and historical image. The designers have also ensured that the architectural details characteristic of this type of building remain constant.

The four-storey "Tree House", with a floor area of 470m2, is air-conditioned, has underfloor heating and electric lighting with motion sensors.

There are 3 educational rooms in the building: "Forest Kindergarten", "Nature Laboratory" and "Drying House", equipped with modern multimedia equipment, laptops, tablets, interactive whiteboards, microscopes, modern educational aids and magnetic walls. Classes held in each room, are designed for groups of different ages. In addition, the building has a conference room for 50 people, a fully equipped kitchen, an antique cooker once used for hulling cones, an office space and a guest room.

Classes conducted by forestry educators are free of charge. All those wishing to take part are invited to visit the Milicz forest inspectorate or visit the Natural Education Centre "Dom Drzewa".
