Bicycle routes

The route of the tour leads through the eastern part of the Barycz Valley. The area is quite desolate, with few villages buried in the woods, amidst vast fields and meadows. It is very likely that you are more likely to encounter animals here, such as flocks of geese or swans, deer or roe deer, than people. In the initial section we will see some ponds (near Potasznia and Joachimówka), and then only forests and meadows. In the villages, the traditional half-timbered and half-timbered farm buildings (sheds, stables or barns) have been preserved in better or worse condition. There are especially many of them in Potasznia and Joachimówka, a former fishing settlement. We will also see other buildings testifying to the German past of these lands - brick houses, former manor houses and palaces, farmsteads. In subsequent villages, i.e. Latkowa, Ostrowąsy, Wodników, we will see how the post-war Polish regime destroyed the architectural heritage of the area, turning architectural pearls into state farms. In turn, in Trzebicko, one of the highest villages, we will marvel at the unique wooden church and the beautiful view of the Barycz Valley.

The proposal for the tour was created as part of the cooperation of Bicycle Friendly Places during the Cooperation Exchange organised by the Lower Silesian Bicycle Land thanks to a grant received from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
