The church of St. Matthias in Trzebicko was built in 1672 (as evidenced by the inscription above the side entrance). It was built on the site of an older church, mentioned as early as 1666. The wooden structure, preserved in very good condition, has a unique log construction, a single nave, a quadrilateral tower (on the helmet of which there is a flag bearing the date 1820) and a trilateral presbytery. It is surrounded by pillar-supported arcades. The double-pitched roof is covered with shingles. Between the 16th and 18th centuries, some 300 churches of this architecture were erected in Lower Silesia. The church in Trzebicko is one of 15 that have survived. The church has preserved its Baroque interior design, including an altarpiece from 1678, which contains a painting depicting the Holy Family, an organ prospectus from 1750, paintings and sculptures. The valuable epitaph of Melchior and Ursula von Gafron with numerous depictions of coats of arms, the Mannerist pulpit and the bronze bell founded in 1600 by Eva and Joachim Matzan have also been preserved. There is a crypt under the nave of the church.

The church's patron saint is St. Matthias the Apostle, also known as the 13th Apostle. The building is situated on a picturesque hill. By the southern wall of the church, in the surrounding cemetery, there are stately oak trees.
