Grabownica Pond is the largest pond in the Stawno complex, and in historical times the largest pond in general. Several breeding species here reach numbers not recorded at any other pond in the Barycz Valley. Among them are the Greater Spotted Grouse (more than 25 pairs), the diving Dabbling Duck (more than 60 pairs) or the Reed Warbler (more than 10 males). Around 5 territories each of the common bittern, crane, bittern, bittern and marsh harrier have been recorded here. In the reeds, even a dozen or so territorial males of the buzzard or the aquatic warbler can be heard. In favourable years, up to 10 pairs of whiskers used to nest here. From the observation tower, 13 metres high (the highest structure of its kind in the Barycz Valley) and rising above the treetops, you can also see the panorama of the Stawno area.
