Maltzan Palace and park with castle ruins
The classicist palace in Milicz was designed by Karl Geissler, commissioned by Joachim Karl Maltzan. It was built between 1797 and 1798. In 1910, the south wing was added to house the former coach house. The palace is similar in appearance to Sanssouci Castle and the Neues Palais in Potsdam. The palace complex is surrounded by a park with an area of approx. 50 ha, established at the turn of the 17th and 19th centuries in the English style, one of the first parks of its kind in Lower Silesia. In addition to the rich vegetation, it contained tombs, stone lanterns, wooden bridges and buildings reminiscent of ancient ruins.

Museum of Christmas balls in Milicz
The museum is located at 3 Jarosław Dąbrowskiego Street in Milicz, along the cycle path along the route of the former narrow-gauge railway, on the site of a former factory, the modern and innovative KOM Creative Multifunctional Facility. It is a one-of-a-kind place, designed in every detail to make you feel simply good. The former bauble factory in Milicz is a complex from the 1950s consisting of two buildings.Between 1951 and 2008, it was one of the largest manufactories of glass Christmas decorations in Poland. Christmas balls from the Milicz factory decorated, among others, the Christmas tree of John Paul II. They were even ordered by Walt Disney - many of the motifs came from his fairy tales. One was adapted into a primary school, while the Bomb Museum was opened in the other in 2013. There is an atmospheric Stara Bombkarnia café with relaxation islands and a very interestingly decorated children's area.
The facility is a BIKE-FRIENDLY SITE.

Dyke on the Polny Pond between Stawno and Nowe Grodzisko (Stawno Complex) - The largest pond area in the Barycz Valley is called the Stawno Complex after the manor farm that was once located here. These are the oldest of the currently existing reservoirs. The southern reservoirs were probably created in the 16th century. The ponds Grabownica, Słoneczny Górny, Nowy Świat Górny and Henryk are hatcheries under additional protection within the reserve, which are a valuable natural resource in an almost intact state for centuries. Behind the village of Stawno, you can access the picturesque causeway that separates the two largest ponds full of wild birds.
