Prusice commune

The Prusice commune is located in the northern part of the Lower Silesian Voivodship, in the Trzebnica district, on national road No. 5 from Wrocław to Poznań. The commune is located approximately 30 km from Wrocław and 130 km from Poznań. It is perfectly communicated with the surrounding towns and large centres, such as Wrocław and Poznań, through its location on the S5 expressway and the Wrocław-Poznań railway line. It borders with the communes of Żmigród, Wołów and Oborniki (also co-offering the Dolnośląska Kraina Rowerowa), as well as Trzebnica and Wińsko.

An excellent starting point for exploring the Prusice commune is the largest village in the commune - Skokowa (accessible by train, bicycle transport possible) or in Prusice at the so-called Park & Ride, where you can leave your car and go on the route, spending some time beforehand to visit Prusice, which has a lot of interesting historical monuments (a beautiful market square with an impressive town hall and very interesting churches) and interesting buildings of a German town.

One of the outstanding villages is Borówek near Skokowa, where active inhabitants associated in the "Borówek" Association have organised a Cycle Friendly Place in the centre of the village. In Borówek it is worth starting and finishing your trip, taking advantage of the hospitality or ordering refreshments, a bonfire with sausages and homemade cake. The Association also organises tours on the surrounding trails for groups and cycling events.

The best option is to head for Żmigród, which can be reached via a cycle path along the route of the former narrow-gauge railway, from where it is a stone's throw to Milicz.

The Prusice commune also has several marked cycle trails, which run close to interesting architectural and natural sites.
